Before you start
- A Business plan
- Store owner access, or staff permission to develop apps
Steps

Open the Dev Dashboard
In your Shopify admin, click your store name (top right) → Dev Dashboard, or go to dev.shopify.com/dashboard. Since January 2026, new store apps are created here rather than under “Develop apps”.
Create an app
Go to Apps → Create app → Start from Dev Dashboard. Name it Handyva.
Set read-only scopes and install
In the app's version settings add read_orders, read_products and read_inventory, release the version, then install the app on your store.
Copy the credentials
From the app's settings, copy the Client ID and Client secret. If you have an older custom app from before 2026, its Admin API access token (starts with
shpat_) works too.Paste them on handyva.com
Go to handyva.com/connect/shopify (or open Shopify from the dashboard's Connections page) and paste the details into the form. Never paste keys into the Telegram chat; Handyva will tell you to change them if you do.
Enter your store address (
yourstore.myshopify.com) and the credentials.All set
You're sent back to handyva.com and Handyva confirms in Telegram that Shopify is connected. Try asking it something straight away.
What Handyva can access
- Read orders, products and inventory (read-only)
Handyva only uses this access to do what you ask, never shares it, and always shows you messages, replies and posts before they go out.
Disconnect
In Handyva: dashboard → Connections → Disconnect, or tell the bot “disconnect my account”. On the platform: Shopify admin → Settings → Apps → Handyva → Uninstall.
Troubleshooting
Handyva says the store rejected the details
Check the address ends in .myshopify.com, the app is installed on that store, and the three read scopes are released.
Questions
Can Handyva change orders or prices?
No. It only has read access.
