Before you start
- A Handyva account on a plan that includes Outlook / Microsoft 365
- An Outlook.com, Hotmail or Microsoft 365 account
- For work accounts, your organisation may need to approve Handyva
Steps

Start the connection
Open your handyva.com dashboard, go to Connections and choose Outlook / Microsoft 365. Or send “connect my Outlook” to @HandyvaBot in Telegram and tap the button it sends.
Check it's your account
Our page shows the name of the Handyva account you're connecting to. Only continue if it's yours, then tap Continue.
Sign in to Microsoft
Choose your Microsoft account, personal or work or school, and sign in as usual, including any two-step check.
Review and approve
Microsoft lists the permissions: read and write mail, send mail as you, and read and write your calendars. Tap Accept.
All set
You're sent back to handyva.com and Handyva confirms in Telegram that Outlook / Microsoft 365 is connected. Try asking it something straight away.
What Handyva can access
- Read your mail to summarise and search it
- Send mail and replies you've approved
- Read and create calendar events
Handyva only uses this access to do what you ask, never shares it, and always shows you messages, replies and posts before they go out.
Disconnect
In Handyva: dashboard → Connections → Disconnect, or tell the bot “disconnect my account”. On the platform: Personal accounts: account.live.com/consent/Manage → Handyva → Remove these permissions. Work accounts: myapplications.microsoft.com, or ask your administrator.
Troubleshooting
The link says it has expired
Connect links last 15 minutes. Ask the bot again or start from the dashboard for a fresh one.
Microsoft says the app isn't verified or isn't available
Some connections are still being approved by the platform. If you see this, message /human and we'll add you to early access.
Microsoft says “Need admin approval”
Your organisation only allows approved apps. Send your IT administrator the approval request Microsoft offers, or ask us via /human for the details they need.
Questions
Does Handyva see my password?
No. You sign in on Microsoft's own page and Microsoft gives Handyva a limited permission you can withdraw at any time.
Will Handyva send or post anything on its own?
No. Handyva always shows you the exact wording first and only sends, posts or replies after you say yes.
