Before you start
- A Handyva account on a plan that includes Gmail
- A Gmail or Google Workspace account
Steps
Start the connection
Open your handyva.com dashboard, go to Connections and choose Gmail. Or send “connect my Gmail” to @HandyvaBot in Telegram and tap the button it sends.
Check it's your account
Our page shows the name of the Handyva account you're connecting to. Only continue if it's yours, then tap Continue.
Sign in to Google
Pick your Google account, or sign in. If you have several, choose the one with the inbox you want Handyva to help with.
Review and approve
Google lists what Handyva is asking for: reading your email and composing drafts and messages. Tick the boxes if Google shows them, then tap Continue.
All set
You're sent back to handyva.com and Handyva confirms in Telegram that Gmail is connected. Try asking it something straight away.
What Handyva can access
- Read your emails to summarise and search them
- Create drafts and send emails you've approved
- Your email address, to show which account is connected
Handyva only uses this access to do what you ask, never shares it, and always shows you messages, replies and posts before they go out.
Disconnect
In Handyva: dashboard → Connections → Disconnect, or tell the bot “disconnect my account”. On the platform: Google Account → Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services → Handyva → Delete all connections.
Troubleshooting
The link says it has expired
Connect links last 15 minutes. Ask the bot again or start from the dashboard for a fresh one.
Google says the app isn't verified or isn't available
Some connections are still being approved by the platform. If you see this, message /human and we'll add you to early access.
Google shows “Access blocked” for a work account
Your Workspace administrator restricts which apps can connect. Ask them to trust Handyva in the Admin console under API controls.
Questions
Does Handyva see my password?
No. You sign in on Google's own page and Google gives Handyva a limited permission you can withdraw at any time.
Will Handyva send or post anything on its own?
No. Handyva always shows you the exact wording first and only sends, posts or replies after you say yes.
Does Handyva read all my email?
Only when you ask, and only what it needs to answer. It doesn't store your mailbox.
Can I connect a work Google Workspace account?
Yes, unless your administrator blocks third-party apps. If so, ask them to allow Handyva.
